Kaavya Foundation aims to promote literature in all Indian languages and to provide a creative space for artists, poets, writers, thinkers, philosophers, and playwrights.
We witnessed Award-winning Poet & Critic, Sukrita Paul Kumar and War Veteran & Author, Lt. Col. Shyam Sunder Sharma in conversation with Novelist & Playwright, Mariam Karim-Ahlawat.

Sukrita Paul Kumar
Sukrita Paul Kumar is a distinguished poet and critic. She teaches literature at a Delhi University College. She has published four collections of poems in English, Oscillations, Apurna, Folds of Silence and Without Margins. Other books by her include, Narrating Partition, Conversations on Modernism, The New Story, Breakthrough (ed.), and Man, Woman and Androgyny.

Mariam Karim-Ahlawat
Novelist, playwright and children’s writer Mariam Karim-Ahlawat was born in Lucknow and educated at JNU, New Delhi, and the Sorbonne in Paris. Her books and plays have been nominated for International and Indian awards. She writes for children under the name Mariam Karim-Ahlawat. She lives in Delhi.

Shyam Sunder Sharma
Lieutenant Colonel Shyam Sunder Sharma, Shaurya Chakra is a War wounded veteran, with over twenty-two years of distinguished service in the Indian Army, post-release from the Army he has been in the corporate sector for the past seven years. Shyam had an early childhood in Nigeria, did his schooling at The Daly College, Indore and has served all over India especially the border areas and in the United Nations Military Mission in Somalia. Shyam holds a Bachelors of Arts Honours in English from Delhi University, a Masters in English from Agra University and MBA in Human Resources Development from Symbiosis.
