I saw in a dream of you

I saw in a dream of you

I saw in a dream of you
White Yamuna turning blue
Even before it met the sea.

And, in turn,
The blue ocean
Grew delicate-white
And its waves filled with glow
As Radha’s limbs remembering light.

And the Yamuna vast as sea,
Unmoving,
And the ocean graceful in flow
Even, as world’s apart,
They grew as one,
Heart to heart.

Thus, Radha grew into you,
In dream and reality,
And you became
What you saw,
Her adoring frame,
Your shadow.

And who is to say now,
Who grew into whom?
Who is to separate
The fragrance from the bloom?
Only the yamuna’s still eternity
Before it races into the sea.
